UPDATE: Great Grandmother and Great Granddaughter found safe

Authorities report that the last anyone has seen the two is when they left driving down the coast of North Carolina to visit relatives and stopped in a gas station in Ruther Glen, Virginia. Their sighting was seen on surveillance cameras at the store.

The clerk at the gas station gave her directions but no one has seen Barbara or her great granddaughter since. Since then, family and community members have combed Interstates 91 and 85 to look for them. Barbara was driving a silver 2014 Toyota Rav 4 with New Jersey license plates.

Police departments in both Virginia and New Jersey are now actively involved in helping find Barbara and La'Myra. Police indicate that Barbara's cell phone was pinged yesterday, Tuesday, December 27, 2016, in the Richmond, Virginia area. No immediate description of the two was available at the time of the alert.
