Missing teenagers from Oldham County, Texas

OLDHAM COUNTY, TEXAS. JULY 8, 2020. HAVE YOU SEEN US? MISSING INVESTIGATION INVOLVING TWO JUVENILES. PLEASE HELP. Police in Texas are requesting the assistance of the public in locating two teenage girls who went missing late last month.

The Oldham County Sheriff's Office reports that 16 year old Sara Valdez and 17 year old Veronica Smith went missing on June 24, 2020.

Authorities report that they were both picked up in a car from their Boys Ranch campus home around midnight on June 24, 2020.


It is also reported that both teenagers did not bring their cell phone and that they appear to have left on their own accord.

Law enforcement officials have reason to believe that the two might be in the Amarillo, Texas area.

The map above is where the girls were reported missing.

16 year old Sara Valdez is described as a female with long, light brown hair and brown eyes.

She has a thin build and stands 5 feet 2 inches tall. When last seen, she was wearing a light blue t-shirt, black leggings, and a dark hoodie.

17 year old Veronica Smith is described as a female with long reddish brown hair and blue eyes.

She has a fair complexion and blue eyes. Veronica was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black leggings and a dark hoodie.

Boys Ranch, Oldham County authorities searching for 2 missing teen girls

UPDATE: ABC 7 News contacted the Oldham County Sheriff's Office. Chief Deputy Shawn Ballew says it appears the girls were picked up by a car on the 24th, and left their cell phones behind. He says it appears they went willingly. The last information the Sheriff's office has is that they may be in the Amarillo area.
