21 year old arrested on trafficking young minors for prostitution

SHASTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. JULY 21, 2020. Anderson Police Department Hosts Multi-Agency Operation Targeting Human Trafficking​. ​​ On Saturday, July 18th, 2020, The Anderson Police Department along with the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, Shasta County Probation Department, Shasta County DA's Office, and Federal Partners, conducted an undercover operation targeting human trafficking. ​​ ​​




During this operation, Keeviuana Reed, a 21-year-old female out of Stockton, agreed to provide sexual services to undercover officers at a designated meeting location in Anderson. ​​




Upon arrival at the location, Reed was contacted and detained by undercover officers. ​​ ​​

The vehicle Reed arrived in was contacted, and it was determined Reed had brought three juveniles with her to the location. One of those juveniles was found to be Reeds' one-year-old child. ​​ ​​




Officers spoke with the located juveniles and formed suspicions that REED was encouraging and facilitating one of the teenage female juveniles to participate in acts prostitution.​​ ​​

After interviewing the involved teenage juvenile and speaking to Reed, it was determined Reed was posting sex ads for sale for the teenage juvenile and encouraging her to engage in acts of prostitution.​​ ​​




The teenage juvenile was later determined to be a reported runaway from Stockton, California. ​ ​​




The teenage juvenile expressed concerns over her current living situation and was cooperative with accepting assistance.​ ​​




Reed was placed under arrest for child endangerment, as well as pimping and pandering of a minor. ​​




Reed was booked into the Shasta County Jail for the listed offenses.​​ ​​




The three juveniles were provided resources and Child Family Services responded to the scene to coordinate safe placement. ​​ ​​




Three additional females associated with illegal acts of prostitution were contacted throughout the operation and offered resources and information from the Shasta County Victim Advocates. ​​




These three different cases are currently under investigation for possible charges to be filed.​ ​




The Anderson Police Department, as well as its allied agencies, would like to thank its community for their continued support in targeting local acts of human sex trafficking.
